I am making a hood for my 450r, just as a test. because it is smaller, if I get this down I think im gonna try fro the blaster...

lol, I just added another coat to smooth all the cracks...

im gonna try to finish it up tomorrow

this is just the mold, I once I get it the shape I want then I will fiberglass it and paint it whatever color...

not sure yet though, probably white

the black one next to it in the pics if fiberglass, and so is the one thats one my quad now... they work fine...

I was already thinking about carbon fiber, theres a possibility I might get into it....

gotta see how the fiberglass works out first...

you can always just pop a couple parts out of your mold then overlay in carbon.....cheaper materials and easier to deal with unless you have a nice vac setup. make sure that mold is good and strong or the heat from the part layup will warp it and your part will come out looking like a potato chip lol....
