This is kind've a dumb question but I want to know what gas octane you use and what I should use. Stock motor including piston and never checked psi. Full FMF exhaust and I run 87 mixed 40:1 with Klotz supertechniplate

Run the highest available. Out here in Arizona, 91 is the highest we get at the pump. 87 I believe is about $2.15/Gallon, while 91 is close to $2.50. The higher the octane, the less chance of detonation. If you think about it, your tank holds a little more than 2/gallons? The price difference to run that octane is $.80 cents. Well worth it.
Before you fill up the gas can, put a little more then 1 gallon in your car first before you start filling the can. theres a good chance the person before you bought 87. You don't wanna pay for 91 if half the gas that comes out is 87

Higher octane fuel will actually give less performance unless you run the correct higher compression for it, as it resists ignition versus lower octane.
A stock blaster will run great on 87 octane.

Ran 98 in mine and she hated it!
91 is the lowest we've got here so I'd say 91 would be the way to go, it seems 98 is too rich
