I'm gonna. Put new fiber plates on my 300ex I heard to soak them first. Or can I just put then in or what

Yes you should always soak your plates in gear oil before installing.

Ok but should I use atv oil that don't have detergent in it instead of gear oil isn't that kinda thick for clutch plates

You need an oil suitable for wet clutches, and I soak overnight.

Bel ray gear saver 80w/85w/90w , Type F ATF tranny fluid, etc etc etc. Whatever gear oil you plan to run in your motor is what you will use.Not the premix oil!!!

But yea, soak them in FRESH engine oil. I normally let mine soak for like an hour (basically about 30 min fore i start pulling my engine down I throw them in oil) but over night will be great too
