You need to be sure if the slide is closing all the way. You can't just look at and say , yes it's there and it's moving. You have to see how much gap you have with the throttle closed. A backwards slide will still move up and down but will keep open more then it should making your motor rev high.

dont see why ya couldn't just get a bolt 1.5" long - but if ya can't weld- red locktight left sitting overnight would stop that from moving- Or super glue that nut on the threads for a temp fix!

The slide is in right. It goes down to about 5 pennys between the bottom . The way it sticks is like its stuck wide open. Its missing the idle control screw on the TORS. I Do not know what to do

again, this is what to do.........................

dude, quit trying to jury rig sh*t, and save yourself a ton of hassles, theres a damn good reason most of us eliminate the tors "brick" and system as a whole, it's garbage and causes troubles, and unless you have a season deciding championship race tomorrow, just order these parts and fix it right....................

you need to get some slack in that cable and bring the slide down... 5 pennies is about 3 or 4 pennies too high. that is the problem, the slide is not closing far enough. it is holding open like you are opening the throttle. and just a little throttle is enough to make it rev very high.
