03 blaster late reaction

plug chop what do you mean and it had a 330 so i went back to a 230 is all i had motor seem like it got hot fast ran fine but after gasing it to rooster i seen the front of the motor smoking and smelt really bad

That 330 jet is way to big for your set up, it is masking an air leak. I would start at a 290 and work down


it suggested to start with a 290, not the stock 230, which is way too lean for your FMF and mods.
you'll be lucky if you didn't fry the piston !

guess paying people to do the work for you isnt wise time to start reading and watching to learn my own my 250r never was this much of a hassle heart broken if my blaster fried :(:(:(:(:mad::mad::mad:
 
what did you change on your quad,
at the same time you changed the main jet?
how long has it had the 230 main in it with the fmf header?

tors removal
open air box
extended swing arm
mix injector off
oil pump off with block plate
fmf gold serise power core 2
front and back sproket
itp hole shot rims and tires
boyzen reeds
uni filter
330 main jet
new air screw
new float
new hoses
lucas 2 cycle mix
91 octane
90w gear oil
and hour meter
just changed to the 330 so 230 has been in it for 3 months maybe all the jets were supose to be done when i first got my blaster took it to my machanic or so called friend and this is what im left with to deal with
 
you do have a really nice blaster
i want to see some pics of it::)
which 90 weight oil are you using?
an how much did you put in it?
the blaster does take 10w30w right out of the factory floor
people opininons vary.....but my personal opininon is that 90w
will smoke your clutch:D

only thing i dont like is the fuel filter:D
they have caused problems for people on here!
650ml of oil in tranny no more no less:)

but seriously your original hanging idle problem
is iN proPERLY adjusted carb/FUEL AIR PROBLEM...OR MORE SERIOUS AIRLEAK
3 months with fmf header on a 230 main could have done some damage....compression test/leak test/visual inspection:eek::eek:
 
yeah looking for a new filter only thing i see of the top is my shifter seal is bad im going to try and post a video
 
ok update pulled plug on the bottom of it is like clean clean above it black pipe had oil dripping out nasty inside cylinder from exhaust side chard but piston is clean except on top is black rings are not black eather
 
did you take pics?
are you talking about crankcase breather tube above the exhaust?
it will spit out oil if it is overfilled or if it has a airleak i think
did you ever purchase a leak tester from awk??

thank you all for the help i think i got it been working all week and i will see how my beast fires up in the morning piston was fine thank god i have so much money tied in my blaster i would go nuts if it blew so fingers crossed guys
