Will smaller shocks lower

Most use a lowering kit on stock shocks to get it lower for ice racing etc. My suggestion is to take the shocks out and drop it down to 11" center to center of bolt holes and prop up with some wood etc. Keep and eye on ball joint and tie rod angles. If all is well and you really want it lower go for it. If it puts to much stress on the ball joints then start looking at lowering kits.
