Yamaha blaster tail light problems

A couple months ago I went to ride my blaster so it got dark and I turned on the headlights and when I got off it I saw that the tail lights were not working. So I got on and steped pn the back brake and the light wont come on! What could it be I need this light

88-02 don't have brake lights, only a running light that doesn't get brighter by stepping on the pedal. 03+ have this option though.

Well I do and mine is a 99

88-02 do have brake lights if they are the "MNH" models. Maine and New Hampshire required brakelights on quads so Yamaha made brakelight switches for the front and rear mechanicals.

sh*t, had no idea. thanks for clearing that up then. must be an MNH model then.

Thanks I am going to check the bulb and hopefully I get does brakelights back or no more riding for me.
