I have a 2006 blaster with bored piston and a k&n, and fmf slip on what do u think my top speed is
Try leaving the choke on a little longer until it warms up some more.I have started my blaster with full choke and it hasnent been started for a week every time I try to rev the quad she doesn't rev!did I put the choke into soon?
If you treat her right she'll run for a long time. There's a lot to be learned, and this is the perfect place to gain the knowledge. My quad has been jetted to get the maxxum power out of it and it only had a top end rebuild in September and It was was rebuild by a professional mechanic and it has a genuine yamaha over size piston installed I only bought it 2 weeks ago so I am still learning about it
Parking brake was on. The "safety thing" is so that you don't ride at warp speed with the park brake on and burn up the rear brake.I have got it sorted now it was some safety thing up by the clutch that had to be pushed in fully thanks for the help
I hope you have performed a plug chop, if not read up on it. When a 2-stroke is jetted for maximum power, like for racing, it is normally jetted on the lean side. Works ok if you only need your engine for one race, anymore than that and you can consider it toast. Just because you had the work done by a pro mechanic doesn't mean squat, there are hundreds of crap pro mechanics out there, for instance check this out http://www.blasterforum.com/threads/2000-blaster-resurrection.60470/page-5My quad has been jetted to get the maxxum power out of it and it only had a top end rebuild in September and It was was rebuild by a professional mechanic and it has a genuine yamaha over size piston installed I only bought it 2 weeks ago so I am still learning about it
