Yamaha 200 top end

I took apart the top end and I notice there's a little space washer on the stud what are these called

It has many names...Shuffle pin, indexing pin, locating dowel, etc.
This is the item (usually 2) that "indexes" or in other words locates and orients the cylinder to the
engine case. The studs only give the downward clamping force to mate the cylinder to the case.

So do I have to buy these before I install the top end

You can re-use the old ones if they are not damaged.

It amazes me how many people take apart a top end without cleaning the outside of the motor off first.
