What oil do you guys use?

What oil do you guys run in your quads? I run shell premix and now my quad is rebuilt and i want to start fresh.

What kind should i use for gear oil?

What kind should i use for premix?

I use Lucas motor oil for the trans. Made for wet clutchs on motorcycles, no detergents

And I use Bellray Gear saver in the tranny.

But Honestly. Its totally up to you what you want to run. Everyone has a preference.

Just once you choose brands, stick with them.

10W30 Motor oil SG rating [no friction modifiers] in the cog box.

For transmission oil I use Yamalube 4 10w30

Use what you like and whatever you like stick with it

i use maxima castor 927 in tank although i recently questioned myself when i had my cr125 manual it said castor oils where unnessesary and might cause pre-mature wear or something like that although the manual also says br9es for plug and anyone who ever owned one knows that it needs the br8es to run but first time i heard of that ...but like i said it was in the cr125 origional manual.....im still running castor 927 $$$$$$$$

i alwaysed used klotz bean oil for the motor (people hated me at the track for that ) and just regulat 10-40 for trans...

i use maxima formula k2 at 32:1 good for trails haven't fouled a plug yet. i use kawasaki gear oil with limited slip additive works great.

Wow $30 bucks a gallon and they say gas at $4 is high !!!

If I may ramble some more. If we bought Starbucks at a gallon rate that would be insane.
They charge $4 per 16oz.
