What blasters came with the Keihin carb?

Hi, just bought a basket case 89 Blaster and it has a keihin carb. Is this stock? Is it as good a carb as a Mikuni?

No its not stock. Take it off and measure what size it is.

Better yet, get the first 3 stamped letter/numbers off the side near the float bowl gasket and and google them. If there's no letter/numbers stamped there, it's a Keihin knock off.

Guys,

with the info from Herpderplol, I went back to prior owner- turns out he gave me the wrong carb from another bike in the bucket of parts. He swapped with me and I now have a nice looking Mikuni 28 mm and I'm on my way to getting it running again.

Stock Blaster is a 26. I wonder what you have.

VM26 I believe.

If you measured it on the outside of the engine side it would read 28-29mm. make sure to measure the inside diameter

and yes vm26 is stock, but the vm28 is very similar. i ran it on one of my quads

Look and see if it has the oil injection port. If it does, it's a Blaster carb. If it doesn't, it's off something else.
