Water pump seal

Do you need to split the case on a kx250 to replace the water pump seal if not then whats the easiest way to replace it

what year is the bike my 98 was ablle just to take 2 bolts off and u have a line into the pump and a line out

Cases don't need to be split. Just remove the clutch cover. Replace the bearing and BOTH seals. Here's a link to the parts.
