Toomey Pipe! Is plug chop necessary

I just bought a toomey pipe and it says that all i have to do is put a 310 main jet and open up the air box.

If the bike sounds like its running good do i still have to do a plug chop?

nobody, not on here, any pipe maufactuer, google searches, or even your your local psychic can tell you exactly what jet is required.

there's just too many variables......temps, humidity, altitude, fuel/oil ratio, what air filter, ect. ect. ect.
for anyone to say for sure this or that main jet for your exact bike and conditions.

do the proper plug chops and be 100% sure to protect your investment !

ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY

Even two identical engines may need different jetting. To many other variables. You don't need to actually "chop" the plug, good light and magnifying glass will help see the smoke ring down in there.
