MY old tires were beat had hole in them etc. There size were. 22x11x8. I bought new tires which size are 22x12x8. The rims wont fit on these. What is the problem.

Measure the rim from lip to lip ( width not height ) then measure the tire from sidewall to sidewall . . . If the measurements are not the same then theres your problem !

When i put the rim in the tire they are norowwer then the tire. Should i just buy a wider rim

That would probably be a little cheaper then buying new tires, and at least you'll have new tires and new rims rather then buying new tires and being stuck with a set you cant use. Where did you buy the tires from if you don't mind me asking ?

You might get them to seat. Use soap for lube. seat bead on one side. Use ratchet strap around center of tire to sqweeze the other bead outwards. If you can't get bead to seat use the hillbilly/redneck bead seating process. Usually the problem is using a tire narrower, so not really sure of your problem.
