has anyone experimented with or know of anyone cutting down the length of the stinger on a blaster?

I was looking on ESR's website who specializes in 250rs and most claim he makes the best pipes for them. I noticed that his center mount exhaust systems "come with a short stinger for great throttle response and low heat"
so this has me thinking of experimenting with shorting the stinger and since the Toomey b1 stinger can bolt on and off and are only $27 for a new raw finish one it shouldn't be an expensive project.

Without more info(proof) that could be sales hype.
Shortening would reduce heat in pipe and piston , which isn't necessarily what you want to do, plus you could actually over scavenge the exhaust. the
Without proper test equipment, you're probably not notice any difference.
Lestwise shortening won't do any damage, except to power maybe

Need to educate yourself more about how an expansion chamber actually works.
Check out Gordon Jennings and H. Grahm Bell.
