Hey guys, my rear brake is messed up and I'm not all that sure what to do. When I press the footbrake, it moves but isn't pulling the cable. Please help thanks!

not sure what thats showing ???

When i press the pedal, the thing the screwdriver is pointing to moves, but the cable doesnt. Im not sure what the deal is, it doesnt seem like i need a shorter cable considering its not like theyre weak, theyre flat out not working.

aahhhh, looks like it's slipping out ??
been quite a while since i fooled with cable brakes, but i think there should be a washer and cotter pin holding that barrel into the pedal prongs ???
look up the breakdown diagram on bikebandit.com

you're gonna need to figure out what holds that barrel into the prongs, then work on the internal adjustment of the caliper like in the first link i posted
the shorty cable is not absolutely required, but helps

On my 01 nothing held it in. your barrel just sits in both the holders. I would straighten the holders first to see if it will stay in place. Holders should be = . Your outer one is like this / and will let the barrel slip out. would put the cable back in and crimp it arround the barrel.
