"Q" on the 400ex upgrade....

I have an '03 Blaster and ride 98% of the time in the SoCal sand. I'm after softer suspension than the original stock stuff so I just installed a set of banshee shocks on the front...seems like a step in the right direction.

Now I want to throw a different rear shock on, and was thinking the 400ex upgrade. Is it a softer, more forgiving shock? I want the spring rates to be similar front and back so would it work well with a +2 swinger (right now is stock)? How would it match up with the front banshee shock setup?

I'd like an idea how soft/stiff the rear is compared to the stock shock.
Does anyone know what the Blaster stock spring rate is Kg/mm? I couldn't find that anywhere.

Do you have a better low cost alternative?

with out an extended swing arm it will be stiffer but with an extended swing arm it is about the the same stiffness but it provides a much better ride quality and it is much plusher.

i wonder if you could stick 400ex shocks up front??? anyone know?

yes there is a thread that has all the shocks that fit. the 400ex fronts will fix with aftermarket a-arms, or the diamond j shock conversion.
