pressing main bearings?

Got my hot rods kit last night and ready to build
Was wondering if I can press in these bearings instead of sweating
I have a press at my shop also was wondering how can I check.clearances
To insure bearings are fully seated?? Any help would be awesome

and lemme get this straight...you have a press, but not a propane torch ??

exact temps of the cases and bearing race is critical to this method working. do not guess...measure.

That's y I would rather press honestly I've tried that method with no success bearing would only go half way in...he makes it look easy....I measured temps an all still with no success don't want to damage anythng
