i think mines got some weird crack in it to. exhaust comes out around the exhaust manifold. should i worry or just leave it? it doesnt bug me but i was thinking for back pressure...

I can weld aluminum, thin sheetmetal, stainless, steel, well heck pretty much anything except I dont have the booth equiptment to setup the proper atmosphere to weld titanium.

Both my front and rear bumper/grab bar are aluminum tubing made and welded from scratch. Was straight alum tubing.

If there is a decent shop around you that has a TIG machine, and a half decent welder, they should be able to weld whatever it is. If its been chromed, it can still be welded, but it wont be shiny after welding it.

yea your losing pressure is the mani tight on there? or maybe a torn gasket?
