i stared priming my oil pump cover and front bumper. andd im thinkin i wana do my hubs too will regular spray paint and lots of clearcoat work good i dont want it to chip and look bad

Just use a GOOD spray paint and no clear. More trouble than its worth.

prep it wont look good unless to take your time i always use clear it makes it look better and protectes it

i painted my grab bar chrome and my hubs blue. i just cleaned good, primed a couple of coats and the put on a few coats of paint. they are holding up great

Just take your time and dont rush it, use good paint. Even if you do everything right it will still chip in some spots.

You can use a heat gun to cure it, just be careful to keep it moving or the paint will bubble. I have done this on several parts on my sand rail, makes for a fairly durable finish.

Rustoleum high performance enamel IMO is better. I painted a car with it once (gallon, sprayed on) and looked great and durable as can be.

ive used duplicolor Acrylic Enamel spray paint for my metal parts and it turned out great. it dries quick and shows a real nice gloss finish.

i used an metal enamel also on my hubs. it sticks very well, dries quick and has a nice glossy finish too.
