oil light on headlight stays on

That oil light is for the oil injection tank under the left rear fender. If you still have oil injection installed, and the tank is full then the sensor is bad. It's simply a normally open float switch that closes when the level gets too low and turns the light on.

If you have eliminated the oil injection and premix, then you should unplug the two wires at the back of the frame and electrical tape them to the rest of the harness. One is power off the headlight switch and the other goes to the light inside the headlight bezel.

civic your all over my posts thanks alot buddy. That tank is bone dry anyway to trick that sensor and leaving tank on there as im not buying the kit as im selling the quad cheap as dirt to get rid of it.

Yep, unplug the wires and tape them to the rest of the wiring harness.

If you're premixing the gas and NOT buying the block off kit, you need to pop the clutch cover off real quick and remove the e-clip from the delrin gear and remove the gear from the shaft. If you're not pumping oil through the pump it's not lubricated like it should be and runs the risk of locking up at some point.

huh will that affect anything in the motor if not removed and it seises

If it siezes, there could be lots of little bits of plastic gear floating around where it is not wanted, it is a must to disable the pump from operating.

It is ok to leave the pump in situ but the gear must be removed, because it is only a matter of time before it explodes.:(
