depends on what kind of racing but NEARLY all Racing u MUST have a Dead Man Tether Kill Switch and Nerf Bars.... we would need a lil more info to assist you even further. Welcome to the site.

If you plan on racing MX, don't worry about the motor just yet. Get the BEST possible suspension you can. A fast rider doesn't need a fast motor. Just a great suspension to be able to stay at high speeds around turns and keep it on the ground when landing jumps. Racing MX on the stock suspension will KILL landing jumps.

i would go with some long travel a-arms that can run yfz shocks and run those. yfz shocks come ready for mx on the yfz so should work fine with the blasty.
