Have you checked the compression? If he put the rings in wrong you could have burnt them up.

no not yet but i pulled the reed again today, because i wasnt to sure on wat to look for. so i broguht them to a yahama dealer today and they said that it deffinatly wouldnt run with reeds like that so i hope thats where my problem is

my 04 did the same thing.......if you are willing to spend the money, buy the vforce 3 cage and reeds, if not i would go with the boyesen pro series II.....also while you''ve got the carb off i would buy a rebuild kit and clean it all out.....

well its clean i know that lol, but i asked about a rebuild kit and they said they dont have one i just have to buy indivdual parts so i said id wait a lil bit on that
