LT80 Help Please?

check out the "Kids Quads & Other ATVs" section on that forum ... you'll get better response for LT80's than in the Suzuki section :)
Any chance there's fuel & oil laying in the bottom of the case? ... How long did you run it when you got it started and did it smoke like crazy? ... If the petcock & float valve leak, the fuel goes down and pools in the bottom of the case ... you'll have a rich condition & a wet plug .... Petcocks & carbs are a common problem on these things ... lotsa folks put in a cheap lawnmower type shut off valve in the fuel line ... Mine once filled the case up till it ran out the carb :) ... tipped it back on the grab bar & ran the starter to let it drain into the pipe ... lol ... smoked up the neighborhood for a long time.

After the carb it's good to get to know the rollers & clutch ... Here's a real old thread with some good LT80 hints in it.

To make clutch maintainance easier ya might wanna cut the foot peg tube ... Cut the center tube in half and find something that fits inside like a smaller piece of pipe ... Here's a ugly pic but you'll get the idea when ya work on the clutch ... the clutch side peg is pulled away from the frame to show the splint inside :)

I have an LT80, and have had problems like this if it is left sitting for a long time. Try rebuilding the carb, be sure to dunk it and get all of the ports / jets cleaned. The petcock also should be cleaned, and make sure the diaphragm is working. If the diaphragm is bad, fuel will not flow.
