Not unless the boot isn't sealing to the carb tightly,
and if that's the case a little oil is the least of your problems, you'll have a major airleak and fry a piston
check it out and see if it's sealing to the carb good and for cracks in the intake boot
Edit: I see you said airbox boot, not intake boot, the only reason I can think you would have compression blow back to force fuel/oil back thru the carb would be from bad or broken reeds, or the flywheel woodruff key is sheared, allowing the flywheel to rotate out of time and the engine to backfire
check all of the above
