Intake boot won't go onto carb

My intake boot(the one on the rear fenders) barely fits onto my carb it maybe goes on 1 millimeter, wtf (it wasn't like this on my black fenders.

well theres a hole in the intake boot that sits on a peg on the frame to hold it close to the carb , I see that it is not on that peg , it needs to be manipulated !

Already tried that.

loosen your plastics up and push them forward , the rears have slots in them and can be moved around some , just a thought !

Already all the way forward.. Lol I don't post help threads untill I eff with it for a few hours

mines is like that i just dont worry about it as long as its on there enough to get a clamp or a zip tie on it

put a aftermarket reed spacer on it and it should move the carb back a lil

can you transfer your old boot onto these plastics ?

I'm just going to put the black plastic on it and sell it.. Lol I'm going to keep the 88 and build the balls out of it..
