I just got done rebuilding my quad with a trail port from KOR and toomey exhaust. No airbox lid with stock carb.

I ride mostly trails, both tight and more open, what would good sprocket sizing be? 14/40? The stock gearing feels good but it seems like I'm always shifting.

I got a 14t front sproket on my blaster and im always shifting lol and it has a stock rear sproket but i might go down 2 or 3 teeth on the rear sproket and try and make the gears run a little longer. im gonna use the 14t front sproket with the smaller sproket on the back but if it lugs the motor down ill put the front sproket to a 13t stock sproket

i ran the 14/40 gearing, the top speed gain was ridiculous, but i found myself downshifting coming out of tight turns where i hadn't had to with the 13t sprocket
i run 13/40 now as top speed means nothing to me, getting there quickest does

it all depends where you feel your riding is more important, and if you wanna be quick ? or top speed fast ?
open areas = 14t speed
tight trails = 13t quick
