Gearbox oil

What kind is everyone using. I'm about to put my motor back together and need some for assembly and use after. I live in FL if it makes a difference with temperature for getting right weight of oil.
 
It must be ATF type F designed for old Ford boxes.

You can use any 10w30 motor oil providing it is of SG rating or below and contains no friction modifiers.

You too can get an off the shelf oil designed for motorcycles with wet clutches, the label will state this!
 
I use yamalube i get at my local yamaha dealer wich is only 10 minutes from me.Dont hold this to me but i believe the bottle says summin like 20weight on it.

ATF is great, tho it needs to be changed a little more often.
As mentioned, no friction modifiers, energy saving, etc.
MUST be wet clutch compatible
 
Also now is good time to be sure vent tube is not plugged. When mine was plugged it made enough pressure to pop the sprocket seal right out of the case.
