I have a gear case drain plug this is stripped. I have read on here that some home put in the expandable plug for a fix. The smallest I could find was for 1/2" original drain size bolts. That's too big for my 12mm stripped hole. Where can I find an expandable plug for the stock, stripped hole? I have the new 14mm bolt and tap, but will not be doing that until this winter.

Thanks

I dont suggest you put a plug in it... And i have no clue where you read that?

You need to drill and tap it now and put in the new bolt.

Slow down little trigger!! Your quote.. "And I have no clue where you read that at.",,,, please!! Peviously discussed within this forum.

I need a temp fix until an winter repair. Are you knew here??? AND no need to reply with a worthless response.

A reference link might help, just because you read something here (or anywhere else on the internet) doesn't mean it's good advice. If you already have the 14mm tap and bolt get under the quad and fix it. Problem solved.
