Fumble fisted old fart, fails.

While fitting a case saver, this silly old fart slipped with the driver and broke off the lug which retains the clutch actuator return spring.

A small hole and a short bit of soft wire saved the day!

good save mine is also broken off right there. I wired mine to one of the stator cover bolts.

that underside of the broken off piece looks like it may have some prior chain whack damage ?

That is a lump of greasy chain chuck off that you spy.

Never had a chain break so far, but am taking precautions as this KOR top end delivers the goods.

I was toying with fabricating the spring to fit in the hole, but when the broken bit is re attached to the case, the spring may complain about being bent back to its original shape.

mine broke off a while back and it still works fine so I haven't botherd fixing it
