Front Wheel bearings

Hey guys I just got my new tire mounted and when I was putting them on I noticed the front hubs seemed stiff. Are they supposed to spin free or be kinda tight? I checked the brakes they are not dragging but when I spin them by hand they go like half a turn and stop is this normal?

Your castle nut could be overtightened. Back it off a little. Make sure there is no play and re-insert cotter pin.

There should be a spacer between the bearings?

The castle nut should be tensioned up to 51 ft lbs.

As they are ball races not taper bearings the looseness/tightness of the nut should not change rotational forces.

Ok the castle nut was a little tight but the front brakes were dragging also. Thanks for the info guys. Here are some pics of the new tires. I also threw in a pick of my clutch cover with a messed up gasket will this hurt anything? Also do I have the tread going the correct way. There is no direction arrows on the tire.
