FMF GOLD SST - silencer

i have an fmf gold sst pipe and silencer.

i repacked my silencer recently, and i want to know if there are any performance enhancements with packing my silencer.

i would think no, it would only be louder... but, i need some experienced advice to guide me.

does the packing create any more backpressure (it would HAVE to, would it not?)


i just want to know if i will hurt my engine without packing.

Didn't seem to make a difference for mine. Just made it rattle less, lol. My dg pipe on my older blaster has no packing in it at all, hasn't hurt it yet and i dont see it hurting it in the future.

nah, it doesn't do anything, it just absorbs some of the vibration comming through, thus making it quieter...

look at the drag pipes dont have any silencers.

ha... i took the packing out... sounds pretty funny.
it didn't really make it any louder, just higher pitched.
