project looks really good. youre moving pretty quickly too, just gave me a little more motivation to get cracking on mine. the rust factor has slowed me down a bunch because mine is a well worn '96.
what shade of green are you gonna be using?

thanx 595. it's gonna be a light House of Kolor candy green. If you can find a shop or someone to glass bead or sand blast the parts it's a lot easier. I took my parts to a local machine shop and had them glass bead them cost me $60.00 to blast 11 pieces. well worth it! they were able to get the rust in all the corners and such. but they couldn't fit the frame in the machine and I can't find anyone to sand blast it so I guess it's the old wire wheel. lol

i was planning on bringing my cylinder down the street to a local shop for glass bead. never even thought of bringing the a arms and habs though. the prices shouldnt be hugely different either. sounds like i have an alternative to elbow grease. i just completed the teardown in its entirety tonight, had to cut the upper cables however, the barrel adjusters were so corroded that they broke right off in the brake lever, and the lower cables were junk anyways so i cut those too. i dont have much patience for old parts.

the light green should really set off the white though. i ride bmx and a company called sunday used to produce frames painted "toothpaste" it was a minty type green and thats sort of how i picture the color youre describing to me?

cameras dont wuite pick up the color that well, its really alot more greenish in person

that's what I thought shure beats sandin, lol. I feel the same way some times ya just gota change the parts out. that's a kool lookin bmx ya got 595, here's what the color should look like.

Thats a cool green, looks like it got metal flake in it too? should really pop. are you doing the a arms and everything to that color or are you using a contrasting color on some other pieces?

oh and that bmx isnt mine, that was just a picture i pulled from photobucket. those frames alone run about half of what my entire bike built up costed ahahah. big dreams little money.

Not shure yet I wanna use a different color on the a-arms and some other pieces but not shure what color. I kinda like the flat black look but not shure.

thanx bro! me to can't wait to start paintin haven't painted in a few years I miss it. kinda why we started the rebuild my wife wants me to get back into painting again. so figured why not start with the blasty.
