I'm officially making an attempt to build one of these using the stock cage and foam filter with custom outerwears lid. Here's some starter pics:
Bare with me guys the pics might start out nasty, but you'll see the outcome......Hopefully there's an outcome...LOL

that looks good, im gonna make a aluminum airbox soon, but somehow have it under the front hood or something im not sure yet, i jsut screwed around with my stock box for now
i got a custom lid i made to using some aluminum.
kinda just added this scoop to the side and then theres another outerwears inside there now

Used air line for bottom drain
Grinded off ridge
Using just the tip
Welded on the bottom
Welded nuts on underside of tabs for lid bolts

Thanks freek, actually haulted on the box 'caus I'm waiting on some parts. So I'm currenly mocking up some yfz450 AC propeg nerfs on the bike.
Not sure yet, waitin' on the final product before I weigh it. It's a little heavier of course being steel, but I look at it this way, I'm sure there's heavier guys ridin' these things than me. I could just take a healthy deuce before ridin' to make up for it.
