anyone have any luck with carb rebuild kit, the blast wont idle and runs rough until the higher rpm then she smooths out

If it won't idle you probably have an intake leak.

Start with cleaning the carb. Take the pilot and main jet out, make sure you can see through them. Most of the kits I see are worthless, why would you need new jets or needles, especially when they are stock, and change your air filter and you no longer have stock jetting. It's not like they wear out. New float needle and seat, maybe bowl gasket I can see.
