K guys I could use some help please, on the carb jetting.

Here's what I have.

03 blaster.
.40 over
FMF Fatty exhaust
clean up port
Boysen reeds on stock cage
+4 timing
air box removed with K&N air filter and outerwear

Im riding at the dunes at sea leavel in average air temp of 65

So what I need is help with the jetting. Needle is set in the midle

Stock pilot 32.5
Middle clip on needle

Plug chop to tell about the main, but I feel that you could find yourself back at 290- 300 on the main jet.

Thank you I will stick with what I had in it for now and plug chop to see.

My duaghter went through two top ends last year but im afraid its due on my part? I was running the mix at 42/1 on 93 oct with klotts. I will be going back to 32/1 on this break in and staying , in hopes not to go through yet anouther top end..

I would not be to fast to condenm yourself about the oil ratio, maybe, just maybe you had it jetted too lean.

32:1 is the way to go, I run even more oil, but I have to compensate with a bigger main jet.

Does your daughter have a tendency to rev it in one gear, not up shifting? If so definately richen the jetting.

Yes she does. Now that you mention it that makes complete sense on maybe why both times they went. She had it wound out pretty far.

Should I richen the pilot jet also.. right now im 32.5 stock
I will richen it up. Thanks Larry..

Richen up the main jet until it babbles, riding it like she does, then back off one jet size.

Could run on the rich side but may save numerous rebuilds.

It was either you or someone else said the same thing while back about their daughter at the dunes. What kind of compression/fuel you running? Timing?

I don't think it was me?? Not sure where the compression is. Fuel is cheveron 93 octane. Timing is either +4 or +5 can't 100% remeber at the moment.
