Does anyone have any tips for getting a caliper back on to the wheel...
I had to switch out the a arms and the axle. the caliper came off of the wheel And I can't seem to get it back in.

You have to push the pistons back into the caliper. They must of been compressed while off. I used a pair of large pliers with a rag over them to squeeze them back.

you never state if it's front or back, but talk about both a-arms and axle.
or if it's cable or hydro brakes,
so which is it.... front or back ?
cable or hydro ?

if this is a 88-02 cable brake caliper ?
you'll need to remove the cover, pull white plastic auto adjust disc, stick flat blade screwdriver in and turn it counterclockwise a little to pull the pad back in, then re-adjust with the white disc until the pad just touches the disc.
that info can be found here......
