Buying engine???

Hi guys new to this forum Iam over in Scotland... Being looking at buying a blaster engine from America can pick one up for around 300bucks which is around 210 pounds. What should I look out for when purchasing? Iam going to rebuild the whole engine change everything I can so that's not a problem is there any big look outs tho? Also would a 2000-1988 engine fit in the newer model blasters thanks!!

Why not fix current engine?
Biggest thing, no broken/cracked cases, enough bores left in cyl.

i have an 89 engine in a 2004 frame no issues at all the stator wiring is different but you can swap the stator out to work with your wiring on the frame as far as looking out for things cracks in the engine cases around the crank shaft and where the chain goes around the drive sprocket
