I'm about to rebuild my blaster engine, new piston, rings, AND NEW cylinder. Should I do a plug chop shortly after my rebuild? I am cleaning the carb and may buy a new kit just because of new engine.

I would only buy a new float needle and seat. Jets do not wear out, may not be to factory standards, and if you have any "mods" will be wrong regardless

Leak test, heat cycle, idle speed adjustment, 2 more heat cycles.

Do not WOT plug chop immediately after heat cycles, read up on engine break in, there are many ways folks say to break in an engine, it's your choice.

I always run 2 tanks of fuel through at no more than 3/4 throttle before I plug chop.
