Blaster hood question??

I want to get a different Hood for my 97 blaster. The stock Hood has fins on it. Are these just for show or are the there to let air in to cool the electronics? What Hood is the easiest to modify to make fit? I was thinking about trying it with a spare 300ex Hood I have. Are there better options?

i was looking for just a hood not new front fenders and i dont want those because they are race cut. i didnt see anything that was just the hood on that website? i also didnt really want to spend a lot of money thats why i was looking to modify a hood i have but i want to make sure it doesnt have to be vented for the electronics though.

You could put the 03+ hood on.

i guess i could do that but id rather try to modify some other kind of hood. i just dont like the look of any blaster hoods

you could actually get that race hood and put extensions kinda like 79bronco has
