euclid, oh
I bought a non running blaster for cheap a month ago and so far Ive spent $200 in parts and about 10 hours working on it. I finally pulled the jug to fix the broken intake bolt. The piston rattles a little bit in the head, rings are gone, crank has rust on it, there is metal discoloration (purple) at the bottom of the rod and left side of the crank. Im to the point that I dont want to deal with rebuilding this engine or buying another blaster engine. I want to convert a bigger dirt bike engine onto the blaster to have a quick super blaster. I have a welder and all other tools needed. Im going to try and find a cheap running bike to use for parts. Heres a couple link of bikes near me.

1982 Yamaha IT465
89 yamaha xt 350
1989 yamaha xt 350 for sale!!
81 yz250
1981 Yamaha YZ250

im going with a 1985 YZ250 motor. from all the research ive done its a pretty easy swap except for the exhaust. exhaust will be the hardest. and there will be some pretty good vibration so make sure you lock tight everything
