Blaster clutch install

I am in the process of installing a clutch on a 96 Blaster 200. I cant seem to get the adjustment right. I have a manual but when I adjust the clutch like it says to, I cant get the clutch to release when I pull the hand lever. Anyone have any tips on how to adjust the clutch properly?
