Backfire

I have a 98 blaster that is sneezing out of the carb and back firing. My guess is the carb when I kick it over it backfires every three kicks or so then eventually it will start but bogs out. Any help would be appreciated.

my uncle had the same problem.he needed a rebulid.im not sure if you need one but his did the same thing.so idk...jus a though

Thanks for the info guys found the problem that great half moon shaped key for the fly wheel. Thanks again for the help

How much did you advance the timing?

hey i think i'm having the same problem. it starts up fine but dies after a couple seconds but will keep running if i give it constant throttle. it backfires alot to. what did u do with the flywheel?
