I'm new to this forum and I am thinking of picking up a blaster soon, possibly this week. Any main things I should know about them? Pros and Cons?

check compression - 100psi or under will need rebuilt soon, check plug color and evidence of metal particles while it's out, condition of air filter (clean and oiled could tell how he took care of it)
stand it on it's ass and look for bends of the frame right behind the lower A-arms, check for cracks on bottom of swingarm, frame and motor mounts, be sure if it has aftermarket pipe or any mods to the airbox he rejetted for it, check trans oil level in sightglass, excessive smoking, ask what oil he ran in it, injection or mix (what ratio) if weedeater or chainsaw oil .... I'd walk.

While a blaster is kind of a noisy engine, watch out for piston slap
