where is the air leak at? the right way would be new gaskets and or seals. some people use silicone on the reed carb intake boot.
ok same question. WHERE IS THE LEAK? what gaskets and seals did you change and are your SURE you have an air leak or are you just guessing
I'm not sure were the leak is yet and I put brand new base gasket head gasket and reed cage gasket and Im pretty sure it's an air leak it's done this many times before
A choke adds extra fuel. You need to get a leak down tester and do the test. You'll almost never find the leak without the tester.
it will idle better cause theres more gas, more gas means less air, thus running more rich, air leak means lean..... Pm slickerthankyou for a leak down tester
how much for the tester? and last time i found it by keeping it running and spraying starting fluid around the base and it would start to idle high when i sprayed it into the leak. and i dont want to buy new gaskets again i just put them in two days ago along with new reeds
If you think it's leaking at the Rees cage, add some blue silicone on the gasket on both sides and bolt back up. Don't use alot. Just enuff to coat the gasket.
idk were the leak is yet if you would read my earlier posts but idk if its leakin there or not i just pu a new gasket in there
to stop being confused on where it is just get a leak down tester, then you will know 100% where your leak is and you can quit guessing
