piezzi Member Mar 19, 2008 750 23 54 Apr 12, 2012 #2 Pre-filter for sure with that K&N unless you want to suck dirt into your carb/motor. Or you could go with a Uni filter and skip the pre-filter. I'd clean and oil my K&N filter before everyride if you're not gonna run a pre-filter.
