Finished rebuilding the carb off of a stock 1994 blaster. Floats are adjusted and pilot air screw is 1 1/2 turns out. Runs decent the way it is but is there anything I can do to fine tune the carb to make the blaster run better?

/\ /\ /\ /\ What he said.

With a stock setup, what you got, is, what you got, but there are a couple of things you can do to get a little more oomph.

Make it breathe better, by either taking off the air box lid, or fitting a filter directly on the carb.

If you do this you need to up the main jet a couple of sizes, then do a plug chop.

Advancing the ignition by about +4deg should give you a little more in the low/mid range, but this works best with a pipe designed for the lower register.

A set of dual stage or V Force reeds will increase the throttle response, but not really give any more power.

A marked improvment in power is gained by the choice of a good pipe.

Thanks -- Sounds like I'll leave the carb alone as long as it's running good after the rebuild.

Depending on your elevation and temperature changing the main jets could improve performance.

Do a plug chop to find where your jetting is at, it only costs the price of a couple of b8es plugs.
