94 dr 125

So I was working on this Dr 125 for a buddy n finally got it running without it falling all over itself. I first took out the fuel adjustment screw and cleaned it up then put it back in and turned it out 3 1/2 turns. Second I took out the jet needle and placed a small nut between the clip and stock plastic washer n when I put it all back together at ran great. Now I have read that these are weak from the start n everyone says that it is what it is. But I'm wondering if there is anything else we can do to it to make it snap better to make it more fun to ride or to get a little more money out of it?

So is it that nobody knows anything about the dr125 or is it that there isn't anything that u can do to the dr125?
