4th gear messed up ! help

hey guys ... alright here is the prob if any of u kno pls help out. my quad is hard to get into 4th gear and sometimes it liek skips it or it might rev out really high . it will go into it but its really hard to shift into it

First I would take the right side case cover off. Make sure the shift fork is doing its job when you shift. Look at the shift star and see if it is lined up with the keyway and that the fingers on it arent broke or anything. If it is none of this then its something internal like a bearing or something. The 4th gear wheel gear is probably broke somehow or the shift cam itself.

hmm alright ill check it out tommorow morning .. i really hope its something else tho, cause if its the gear then i heard it costs a lot. thanks tho

The shift fork or star would be a way cheaper fix. They arent very strong so hopefully you get lucky.

yeah ill check it out tommorow, i just wasnt sure really wat to do , i hope it is the shift fork , if its the gear ill have to end up takeing apart the whole quad
