    Used shock price range?

I don't know how often they pass through eBay, but don't forget about Custom Axis. They make a quality shock as well.

    Advice!

Stay Away from those things... I know designs have improved over the last few years, but they still snap fairly easy. Save the money and invest in a front end.

    Advice!

What I was saying applies to everything except a drag bike. It was meant for all of the people that just ride in general and the Mx/xc guys. You can have all the power in the world, but what good is it if you can't handle the power you have to begin with?

    Advice!

Before you get too caught up in your dream of making a monster that will eat a 450's lunch, step back and work on suspension. That goes for even a light motor build. Everytime I get on any quad forum there is at least twice and a lot of times 3,4,5 times as many people viewing the engine thread...

How much hp should my motor make?

Sounds like you've got a good build going. As long as it makes good power and does what you want it to, the hp numbers don't mean a whole lot. You can have all the power in the world, but you have to be able to handle that power or it won't do you much good.

    Motor Work?

There's a few companies here and there that make lt arms, but Phragle built my rear end setup. If possible I'd like to have a front that matched it. I know how good the rear feels and would love to have one of his lt front ends.

    Motor Work?

Well shoot... I'm considering bringing the blaster back to life and if I do so I'd like to have a long travel front end to match the rear.

Is Phragle still around? I've got a job I need to con him into :D

    Motor Work?

Yeah from what I remember there was a war of words between the CP and HWD junkies for a couple of months that was taken way out of context.

    Motor Work?

Oh yeah. Me and my oldman trolled the HWD and BHQ forums way back when. I never was a fan of bluetraxx though. Not a day went by without us posting. At that time Marc was really starting to come on the scene and we just jumped aboard and it was well worth it. It's good that you've been pleased...

    Motor Work?

3 years, 20+ races, never had another blaster take me off the gate. Discouraged a few 450's along the way as well...

    Motor Work?

Marc Cross. He had a tough time with his personal life there for a while causing the business to take a turn for the worse, but the man sure could build a monster motor.

    whats the difference in pipes

Wipe out everything you think you know about LRD performing better than Toomey on modded motors. It's all about the entire setup, LRD will be better on some setups than the Toomey and the Toomey will be better than the LRD on some setups. It's been proven several times that the two are as close...

    Motor Work?

Yeah I'm curious to find out too. I wish my motor man was still in business, it'd be nice to have a spare bullet or two laying around.

That bad huh? Man thats crazy what happened to consistency?

    Motor Work?

Good answer. He kind of contradicted himself there

figured out why my blaster wasnt handling good

It takes a lot more than wider a-arms to make anything handle like a Ferrari. No matter what suspension setup you have, countless hours of shock tuning and suspension adjusting comes into play before any quad will handle that good. I don't care if you throw a money no object build together...

Nice to know I'm not a lone ranger running one of HWD's motors. Your killing me with the 30mm carb though man, the PD3 needs at least the 33pwk to perform near its max potential.

    Motor Work?

I agree nearly everyone has a different setup, but if ken is the best how do you know he's the best if you can't tell who does better work?

    Motor Work?

That's not a motor work issue then if he's only pulling you in 6th. That's his gearing being taller than yours. A 38/39 rear or 15 front if you have enough power to pull the setup will take care of that problem.
